Poor Kilee needed to see an off base allergist who specializes in intolerances because we have found her to be sensitive to corn, annatto, eggs, and all meat that eat corn. She tolerates grass fed beef better, but no luck with the chicken or ham. Looks like I need my own farm raised animals hahahah. Did the chicken farm thing, no thanks. Anyways, inorder to see an off base allergist we had to see the on base allergist to get a referral. Well that, well I have nothing nice to really say about an allergist who doesn't believe in sensitivities and thinks that all docs and parents who do are quacks. Anyways, Kilee, after pressure from mom who thought, lets do the tests for this doc so we can get a referral to the other, got allergy testing that she totally agonized over the wait period. Although there were lots of red marks, they were not as big as the bottom plus mark that means the test worked correctly. That spot was her main itch and she just cried. No allergies said the doc. DUHHHHHHH said mom and Kilee, can we have the referral now. Nooo said doc who stressed people want answers to things and they will believe anything, so if you think some foods affect you, well by all means don't eat them, but she doesn't have any allergies. Uhh, and he refused to refer her to a doc who could finally help her. So, mommy has gone in the back door and she finally has an appointment with the intolerant specialist on Thursday and if we can take his paperwork back to base, we can plead our case before the lady, who pleads the case before others, as to why we need to be seen off base. Crossing our fingers. I love not paying co-pays, but sometimes it is ridiculous getting to a doc who knows what they are doing. LOL Kilee is still resisting being denied foods, is a worse picky eater, and being tortured this Halloween. She has already snuck candy and is suffering the effects tonight with a migrane and stomach pains. Oh our bodies do crazy things.
Kandon received his retainers too, and is doing a much better job than Kilee did at keeping it in. Way to go Kandon. As you can see they keep you busy with PS3's while they work. He has only lost if a few times and had someone bring it to him in a napkin at school. Oh well.
The kids put Bella to a test as she jumped over books and through the hoop for cheerios. The raised it up so high that Bella finally became smart and went under the coffee table so they blocked it off. I think if my mind is fresh she then went over the table. Ha. At least they are keeping busy.
Kowen invented his own way of playing twister to beat dad. Kilee learned that dad likes to play dirty and bump others out of spots. They keep coming back for more though.
House is finished and I got a tree in the front of my yard. It was a surprise, and well I had to refrain myself from asking them to dig it up and move it 2 feet to the left so it wouldn't block my view of the house. Oh well. I can't be so picky sometimes.
Yes, we are home owners finally after almost 13 years of marriage. Let those morgage checks begin. We showed dad the couch we bought while he was gone. They love it, mom still wants the leather one.
We hit Steak n Shake again. Oh how we love that restaurant.
Dad showed the boys what plane he flies as he is getting his pilot license through work.
Oh I could see their minds at work. Good thing the blocks were still on and it doesn't work like DS's.
It was so windy, no one could really fly anyways.
At Kowen's soccer tournament the fire department came out for a show, mommy just used the trucks as blocking agents from the wind. Ohh it was too cold for little kids to run around in shorts.
So, we didn't have enough kids to be a team and another team backed out except one boy so, we teamed up. It was the base team against a Jamestown team. Somehow Kowen's team lost pretty much every game of his league games, but they dogged this other team. Mommy was sorely wrong. They didn't lose. And although my mind is gone, I know Kowen scored at least two times and assisted with others I think. His team scored all the goals, including the one for the other team. Yep, the kid in the middle seems to always score for the other team, which adds to why Kowen's team never really won any games. Ha. Kowen sure improved and was a sure asset. The coach would never let him sit out bc he was an aggressive player and knew what he was doing. Sometimes he did back track around the whole field and it was funny to watch all players follow him around like little ducklings chasing after him and the ball, but eventually he got back going the right way and would score. Yeah buddy.
It took us four plus days to move. We started moving over little things into the garage and basement storage because the painters were painting the new house. Then we moved Thursday and Friday with rain and 40 degree weather, but we moved. Thanks to a few men who came from a plea from the wife. Shhussh don't tell Cliff. Ha.
We had our last meal in front of the t.v. on top of a tub and finished painting up scuff marks, vacuuming, and carpet cleaning, and called it done.
We worked long into the evening past midnight and the poor kids were out.
Here was our new Family room.
Our Kitchen. Yes. I put blankets down and had the kids just pile it on them. Then to clean, Ha shuush. I cleaned off the counter, then picked up the stuff on one blanket and put it on the clean counter, then picked up the blanket. Ha I cleaned, technically. Yes, yes I did. It is all better now, but that is how I do it. Move from one place to another until it doesn't get moved again. ha
Living room.
See Clean.
Then it gets dirty again. Oh well.
And Clean.
And well, at least we got the garage door closed. And yet, we still have a storage unit. It will be emptied soon since I now have half the garage cleared and sealed. Cliff's car will have to wait. I just think my momentum has slowed to a halt. I will have to schedule a party inorder to find it again. Nothing gets you cleaning like knowing someone is coming over.
The dog has done well. She only had an accident one day. Her only problem is that she barks constantly at all the worker men that come in and out to fix all the things I have found wrong. Ha. UHH. Dogs. But well done Bella. Oh and yes she did get a hair cut and nails trimmed inorder to be allowed inside. I'm so glad you noticed.
There has been a whole lot of watering going on and oh how I dread the water bill. These bushes on the left had to go. Not only did I think maybe they would grow and scratch the car upon driving up into the garage, which I will never do because full ha. But it wasn't green. Oh no. A new house. I have to have it green at least for moving day. So I had them come back another day with something green. Ha. It all needs watering now, kinda looking brown, but upon moving day. Yeah it looked nice. Yes, I'm picky sometimes. I didn't move the tree, but the bushes had to go.
This was the first Obama sign I have seen in all the city. I have now seen two for him, but it was such a shock seeing his name finally I had to take a pic.
Kowen was ready for picture day. He decided to dress up all by himself.
Girls lost, but Sophie the caterpie and others sure tried.
Busting out time is so much fun. But now it is time to throw the used TP Away. Ha
Happy 6th b-day little man. Way to be patient with me.
We sure appreciate last minute invites who seem to have time to swing by and grab a present for Kowen. Oh how sweet, and no these weren't the only ones. Ha. Thank goodness for close friends in the neighborhood.
So, the boys saw me watching videos on youtube about some YMen who did videos singing a One Direction song about-"You don't know you're beautiful" to YWomen of their stake. There are several stakes who did videos, apparently off from something President Monson said about every girl needing to know she is beautiful. Anyways they loved it so much they got dressed like the boys and had me record them lip singing it. They think mom will actually make it to making them a music video. Time will tell.
But don't they look cute, handsome, and well a little awkward, but I will skip that.
The fence is going up and it is taking everything to keep the boys out of the mud and from being ninjas jumping from one post to other. Oh how they can dream. I would love to see them try, but well I'm sure it will cost money to fix, so no. The kids all said Poor men as they worked in the cold and rain. They sure keep going that is true.
And yes this is our first hole in the wall. And no my kids did not do it. Surprisingly. And no I didn't either, surprisingly too. We made it til Sat. Oct. 27 when our neighbor friend Sophie, decided to walk on the outside of the banister and fell all the way down the stairs. No, I wasn't worried about the wall or upset. We were dumbfounded as to how she could fall so far and not get hurt. Somehow she landed fine on the stairs, except her knee went through the wall. So, I borrowed some mud from a ward member and patched it up. Shuush, Don't tell Cliff. Ha. Maybe I can paint it before he notices too.
Later that night it was Halloween Trunk or Treat at church again. We were able to take our old friends again this year. Uhh still not impressed at their 2 min parade and just saying what you are and shipping them out side and calling it a party. But that is just me. I volunteered to set up a committee for next year. They claim they are planning the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown skit, but they also plan on giving them a cup of chilli and shipping the out the door to trunk or treat. Does anyone else see a problem with that. Chilli in one hand and grabbing a treat out of a bowl another or trying to hold a bag at the same time. Yeah not a good idea.
Of course that means I didn't get the corn syrup free candy corn, cookies, pretzels, or any other treats made to trade her, but she wouldn't trade anyways. She will have to stick with buckets of corn syrup free cotton candy.
Well that is a few bits of our crazy last few months. We are off again for more adventures as life goes on. It may be crazy, hectic, draining, and just dreadful sometimes, but there is joy in there somewhere. Now that Kowen has finally conked on the couch behind me at 10pm, I think I will go to bed. Stinkers sometimes, but gotta love them. Until next time.
