Three Weeks in Alabama!

Well it was time for our annual Alabama trip, and Kilee tried to board a stow away. Sorry said mom, I'm sticking with the Gpa is allergic idea and the fact that a 13 hr drive with kids is enough, I don't need to add a dog who has to go pee every 3 hrs too. Sorry Bella. She doesn't complain when Kilee puts her in there, she keeps trying and hoping one day she will get to go with her.

A lot of air hockey never hurt anyone, just my ears. Thanks for playing GPA.

We went to Kangaroo's bounce house with Aunt Jill and family.  The kids had a blast and it was only crazy for the first hour or so because there were buses of kids there, but once they all left, the kids had a better time, ha.
They enjoyed riding with Aunt Jill any chance they got. I think Kandon is pretending to be a car seat.

This was Kandon's snack, not much to choose from but he got the biggest brownie and ate almost the whole thing in one sitting. And surprisingly did not throw up later.

Our attempt at a photo together, and no it didn't work. So I settled for an individual photo of Addy.

I
Getting ready to experience a homemade waterfall from Gpa and Uncle Daylyn. We are so glad they went into a deal and bought this pool. I don't know what we would have done for the three weeks.

It wasn't long before we had our first casualty from the pool. The way the kids got in because it was a little tall, was to run and jump over the top and slide in. Getting out was a climb. I'm not sure if he dove and hit the bottom of the pool or fell getting out he was a little hard to get straight, but he sliced his chin open.  I tried to just use super glue for skin, but that burned so I wiped it off and attempted to butterfly it. No not a great job, that is why daddy brings in the bucks, but in my defense, he only kept in on an hour or so and he was off. It didn't bleed much, just was deep. Oh well daddy has one just like it.

That is a water hose refilling the pool if you were just wondering. I'm sure little Ezra let some go, and my boys are not 100% they didn't either. Thank goodness for pool cleaning and bleach.
This is the wonderful, delicious, so incredibly tasting cake I convinced Aunt Jill to make for the fourth of July.  Red, White, and even blue with sprinkles.  I am not much for cake anymore, but I did eat the whole thing. I'm so glad we had all the cousins over so there was no extra cake left for me to eat.
Yeah, a roller coaster.   We went to the beach and squeezed in a trip to a waterpark with my friend and her extended family.  The kids enjoyed hooking up with her 3 boys.  They always like to visit her mom's house and ride the four wheelers. When we left they so wanted to move to Alabama just so they could visit, sleep over, and play at their house all day. I know they are so lucky, and we don't get to do anything. Oh well. My kids are so deprived. Did I mention they also have an AK47 and aR15? and often go hunting. Maybe one day boys.
Anyways. This is the view from the roller coaster. Yes we were wet from the water, but that isn't water. Nope Kowen decided he wouldn't tell anyone he had to go bc he was having so much fun and didn't want to miss it. I tried to ask the man for napkins but he was clueless. So yes, yes, we left it there. And no I didn't get back in that seat line. Kids. They do make life interesting, painful, crazy, and hilarious.

Mom had to wait in line to drive each of them individually bc Kilee was so barely missing the height limit, but the guy had to follow rules. Not really, but this one guy chose to while the other was going to let it slide. Oh well. I was tired of swimming anyways.  We then ran to squeeze in several more roller coaster rides bc kids could just sit there and not get off bc not enough people wanted on, then on to putt putt. Kowen decides to jump over the little wall  and do a header on the sidewalk, but all in all it was a fun day from 10 am to 7pm.

The next day we hit the beach with Uncle Daylyn. Nothing like living at the top and driving to the bottom. They spent most of the time searching for shells on the beach and in the water.  It was amazing how there were so many shells to just scoop up. I don't remember so many.  They enjoyed busting some waves and digging holes. Thanks Uncle Daylyn, Oh and Aunt Jill.
We managed to see Paw Paw and Granny several times, but it wouldn't be a visit without traveling to their house and getting a ride from Paw Paw. This time it was so short everyone agreed that a short ride would be just fine, if they could still get a soda from the fridge and ice cream from Granny.  It isn't a visit without those items.

The even played chase in the house with Paw Paw. I couldn't believe their 82 yr old Great- Grandpa could chase them so long. He finaly gave in and sat down only to be bombarded. But he loved it. He even gave Kowen the best hiding spot of all. Kowen squeezed behind Paw Paw and put a pillow over his head and it took forever for them to find him.  It was great, the pic not so good.

We hit another bounce house with the other cousins and had a great time sliding, jumping, and climbing.
A visit to Aiti and GPA's wouldn't be complete without the mall splash pat. Lots of fun, slushies, and family.

And the splash pad would not be complete without jokes of peeing and pics of them doing so.  Let it flow guys, let it flow.

This is just cute if you can imagine Kowen peeing over Kilee's head. Talented kids.

Ezra enjoying the water and trying to do as he saw his cousins do.

Balancing cups on head. What a great, easy talent. Way to go kids! Keep practicing.

Taylor was tired and ready to go, so we went.
After the park, GPA took us shopping. Kandon wasn't paying attention and bumped into a rack. Yes a physical RACK and a padded rack.  He said something to the fact of being so glad his head hit something nice soft and padded. It starts early I guess. I'm glad he didn't poke an eye out, I'll have to warn him about that later.

I tried to convince mom graffic tees were the way to go for school, but it was a hard sell.
We worked on lots of things for his Bear cub scouts while there. Hey, I have to take advantage of it. Here he helped GPA unclog a pipe after I ground up a cantalope rind in it.
He screwed a leg back on a stool.
Kilee attempted to make Gma Nowell a cake, but we ran out of frosting she liked. So this is what she got.

We spent most of the day trying to identify all the different types of oak trees in Aiti's yard. Not such a good idea, but I can say we checked it off the list. Finally. Thanks Grandmas.

Kandon put to work the new compass he got from Gpa Nowell in drawing straight lines to write the types of trees. Thanks GPA. He took it to scout camp last week too.

He planted lots of seeds and a little oak tree. What a trooper.

I also squeezed in making a bird feeder, well a pine cone, Peanut butter, and some cereal.

We played animal charades for FHE, which mom counted in his book, ha. and lots of uno during the visit. Poor grandpa had to play 25 or more games before he won a single game, but he finally did.

The more time we spent with the Great Grandparents the better. It is so great to have family that desire to see us. Miss  ya already.

The day before we left, we ate at a restaurant on the bay and enjoyed spending time with cousins.
Check out Uncle Bryan's mustache.  Everyone wanted to sit on his lap for some reason or another.
There was some playful slap games as we waited.

And lots of love and laugher!
I'm sure they were tired of me trying to take pics, but we only get to see them once a year.

Thank goodness for coloring pages while you wait for your food. Genius.

It was all about Uncle Bryan tonight. Can you color with me, can I sit in your lap, can I have the rest of your hamburger meat, Hey Uncle Bryan watch this.  It was so nice to see them interacting, because I didn't get to see it when they went to work with grandpa-E and Bryan and I stayed home.

No it is not real, just a fake one outside the restaurant.
Oh so sad. The boys didn't want to let go of Uncle Bryan. The continued to hug and squeeze and climb and beg to stay. But sadly we had to go. Back home the long trip, but dad was there to greet us and help unload the packed, over packed, car. Thanks. Another trip down. Wow, did ya get all that. Great, cause there is another post below this that is likely as long. Yes, by now you should know I get busy and finish my posings and don't come back for weeks or months in this case. Oh well, family history is important.
