Talented even upside down!

Yes, Yes I forgot some pics. So, Kowen started soccer, but bc his bday is in September, he still has to play pee wee. But that is ok, bc he is so small. In true Nakeysha style, I charged the video camera, taped what was on it onto dvd, even charged Kandon's DS so he would have something to do during the game, and taped what was on video a second time since i hated to delete it without having two copies.
You may wonder why these pics are so small if I have a video camera with a zoom. Well, Did ya see the part where I charged the DS, then made a second copy of DVD. That explains it. I unplugged the charging video camera to use as the DS outlet, then I played the video again and used up all the charged batter. Oh well, next game mom will record. This time all I had was my cheesy phone. So this is what I got.
The kids did well for the first game, most not knowing what to do and being 4yrs old. Kowen kept telling everyone that he would get it bc he has played before and he knew what to do. The wouldn't let him throw it in, so he was disappointed he could only kick it and no one really to kick to, but he had fun.
One kid was pulling his shirt and knocking others down to get to the ball, cut it wasn't Kowen.  Kowen had and off the post miss and a final try to tie it up, but he did the stop, rev up three steps and kick part, giving kids time to block the goal. But All in all, he had fun. The best was the grapes and the oranges afterwards. I thought I took a pic of the orange in his mouth, but I can't find it. Needless to say, with my three kids there were no leftovers. Oh well.
Kowen also decided to use one of his water breaks to learn how to do a handstand like an older boy. He continued to do this on the field talking to his coach and waiting for someone to kick the ball.

Yep, that's my boy. Talented all around and upside down.
Way to go Kowen!

Life goes on in all its glory! Or Craziness!

Ok, so here goes another long post. I do find it quicker than making several different posts. Anyways, Kowen has been begging for slip on shoes for more than a year. We just can't seem to find them in his size, when we get ready to buy shoes. So, mom found these on sale for $8 and that is the only reason I chose those over the nicer $20 ones. I knew he would love the camo, but mom thinks they are so ugly and will not go with anything, but well these pjs. But hey, mom is so glad to end the begging and regain a little sanity.

Ok, so it is Memorial day weekend and the sales end Monday. So, I have been shopping for furniture, all alone. Yes, no kids, but also no hubby. Most girls would say wow, anything you  want, but I'm want to make sure he thinks it is comfy and nice. I also want to make sure it fits and goes with the colors of the house, which is hard since those haven't been picked yet, but narrowed to the beige category. He axed the grey on the walls, but not the couches. He also axed the blue on the walls, but all is well. So, I loved this couch and chair colors, but all I see is kids feet and dog feet and dirty furniture after one day. But it is still on the list.
These two have the corderau, therapudic rub your fingers over it feel Cliff is looking for and the comfort I am. Although they lack style. The sectional I worry about because of moving and not fitting properly. The Creme bc it is creme, but I can get it in grey or brown.

Yet, I like this ones style a little better and it is comfy, but lacks the theraputic rubbing. Oh the choices. Hurry up and make one, I know I know. Which one though?

As soon as I walked into the store I loved this dining room set. Then I looked at it and the bed behind it. No wonder I liked it, this was our other choice for a bedroom set before we got the one we have. I decided not to get it because of the price and the distressed dotted dents it had on it, but I still love it. Not so much the color of the cushions.
This was a table on sale, I liked it, but in the military, the huge, heaviness of it all would not be good. That would take up most of our allowed weight all by itself.
This was an option only bc of the corderau material Cliff wants.

 Keeping my options open.
I liked this ottoman, nice material and storage.
I thought maybe sleepers would be good in the bonus room instead of buying a queen bed, but then we really thought about extended family and knew that sleepers were not the best idea.

I have narrowed it to the grey and leather sectionals, but still can't decide. I know I want a piano, and that I will probably just get a bigger dining set on craigslist, but we will see. Soon I hope.

Just an update on home. We are less than a month out before we sign the papers. It is moving along fast. Stone turned out ok. I hate that shutters now are plastic with no backs, but hey, I can't have it all at this price.

Kowen has soccer practice and we had to walk over to the softball fields to use the porta potty.  It was interesting again to be at the fields and see planes next to it. I know we have been in the military a while and it shouldn't surprise me, but it does.
So, when Kilee exited the porta she surprised me with her wisdom. "Don't look down mom."  Yes, dear, never look down in a porta potty. Later that day, Kandon showed me his wisdom by saying, "You mean you didn't come out of Aiti's butt." No dear they cut me out.
Kilee came down today for school. I was surprised she put this on. It is an old dress from years ago and now it is a shirt. She put her black heels on too and off to school. Ha. Way to change it up dear.

Well Kandon had his six month check up for the orthodontist. We were waiting to see what his jaws would do since he has an overbite. We shouldn't have waited bc now there is no room between tooth and jaw bone. I think I said that right, so now he needs a retainer.
Yes I didn't rotate the pic, but anyways. Kowen loved the moving chair. I know I did as a child. So, the problem was he could pull the lever and go up, but the poor guy didn't weigh enough to come down. And Kandon's problem was that he weight too much to go up fast, but he weighed enough to come down. This is what we did while we waited, and waited, and waited, and waited some more. Kilee was tortured by the boys two slushies, while she only had water and her fake popcorn mini bites treat. Oh well. They weren't the quietest bunch, but all things were intact when we left, well that is the story I'm stickin too.
Kandon was all excited til the pain of spacers set in. Here we go again!
This was his pic the orthodontist. It so reminded me of my brother Bryan. He looks alot like him and has mannerisms too. LOL.
Early morning before school retainer molds. He just brushed his teeth, but there they go again.
Loving the protective glasses dude. You can see Kowen in the other chair playing the PSP, since Kandon is playing the one in his chair. So, nice to have there to occupy their wait time.
Mom thought the 7:10 appointment would just be in and out. Nope, still there at 8am which made all three kids late for school. Wouldn't care too much, but already their second tardy in two weeks, which means they lose recess for a day. How silly, 2 days is too soon. This year they are going to miss a lot of recess.

Kandon made a tool box at scouts. It is so nice to see him finally doing something fun. And yeah, something mom doesn't have to do. I had just bought the $3 one from the scout store that was like 2 inches wide, this is so much better and yeah I can return it and buy myself some candy.

For the first day of school Kowen wanted a mohawk. I gave him one. Supposedly no one said anything. On the second day of school he wanted a bigger one all around his head.  So this is what he got. Supposedly no one said anything. Day three, he wanted to go normal. Supposedly several people commented about his lack of mohawk. He hasn't had one since. So funny.

The first day of school I was waiting for the bus and got a phone call. It was the school saying that they had all three kids there and that school got out at 2pm and where was I. Well, I was at the bus stop. The school didn't read any notes I sent, and the kids supposedly said I never said to ride bus. Of course mom did. I said for days, ride bus number 92. What number... 92?  Oh, we thought you meant after we move in. This bus stop was at our new house. I wanted them to ride it meet the neighborhood kids and get use to it, plus I avoid pick up traffic. It didn't work so well at first, but now they have the hang of it, and since it stops at our house, they don't have to beg for me to drive by the house to see it. They only want to go inside everyday to see changes.  Win some, lose some.
Ahhh Kowen's first pic from first grade. Something about a tiger shark on top and a tiger on the grass. He is so bored too. All three kids are bored and don't like this school. We have had complaints before, but usually there is something they like about the school. Not so with this one. We will wait it out and see. Other option is mom drive them to a different school every morning and every afternoon. Mom is trying to hold out, but she secretly wants them to attend a different school too.
Popsicles given out on the first day for a birthday party. Yeah. P.S. Aiti can you buy me this school sweater for my bday. Yes, you are awesome.
I was driving along and noticing all these cars pulled over and didn't know why. Then I see this weird plane that looks almost like a whale parked on the runway and people taking pics of it. Come to find out it is called the Super Guppie. A Nasa plane and it gathered quite a show of spectators all day taking pics of it and then it was gone. Sometimes you see the strangest and the coolest things as you drive. Now, mom has to remember that we can't text while driving and that she can get a ticket.

Kandon had his yearly eye check up, yes, we have had an enormous amount of docs lately for everyone, but getting it done.  All is well, no new prescription. Guess that is good and bad. I was hoping he would start to lower it to strengthen his eyes, but eventually he said, not yet since he is doing well. Kandon tried to self diagnose by adjusting all the buttons himself and then wondered why he couldn't see. Nice try bud.
They came by one day and chopped down the tree. It had not regrown leaves this summer and thereore adios amigo. The kids were all sad bc it gave off some shade, not much. They hated to see it be cut down, not to mention all the other ones around the subdivision.
I had to move Cliff's car across the circle, but it still got saw dust all over it. We then washed it off since we know he hates dirty cars. His baby is safe, don't worry.

The kids needed p.e., art,..etc special shirts for school. They were probably suppose to have first and last names on front and back, but this is what they got. I am surprised by my artistic abilities sometimes. I'm Awesome too according to the boys. No simple shirts for them. It took a bit of time, but we had fun.

During the meet and greet before school, Kilee tried to make friends with these girls. What was funny was that she was trying to stand in a stylish girly stance, but pretend to be interested in their conversation. One girl had short short jeans shorts, black high heels, and a see through white shirt with her bra straps showing. They were talking about their bra sizes. She remarked, "I'm only in the fifth grade, we don't wear bras."  She supposedly and gladly isn't good friends with this girl, but it was funny to watch her in action. Kandon didn't have a problem making friends during the walk through or meet and greet. However, Kilee tells me his friend wore all black and had an earring and was in the fourth grade. Yep, different school. Kowen enjoyed playing on the older kids playground, since he is designated a smaller one around the corner. I'm on top of the world mom. Look at me.

 First day of school craziness!
We finally have narrowed down the culprit to Kilee's migranes, and stomach pains. She is corn intolerant. It is amazing how you just change what you eat and no more pain. Yet, the trouble is that it is corn intolerance and they don't mark corn on most ingredients. Corn has like 180 different derivatives they mix it with and call it by different names. It has been challenging.  So, this is what I do. I take pics of possible things to buy, go home to look up if it is safe and then go back.  It is harder because although the ingredients may not list anything harmful, it may have been produced on a belt that had corn products. Oh, gluten would be so much easier. We are just hoping she doesn't test to be gluten intolerant too bc the proteins are similar and most have to avoid corn, gluten, and dairy and soy. So far it looks like just corn, but something is still getting in for small headaches.
Her big problem is that corn is in most all candys. Hershey's has vanilla which is bad, but we can both stand a small headache in place of rolling on the ground in pain. Or whining constantly. Wish taking corn out of her diet ended the back talking and other craziness, but that doesn't seem to be a side effect of corn. Ha.
This is a recent purchase by mom. It isn't the best, but hey, when you make your daughter a smoothie bc she can't eat much of any other cereal and corn fed cows might be causing her headaches, you compromise. The problem, late for school. Yep, did ya guess it. She put it on the seat to buckle up and here comes brother to knock it over as they both yell at dog for getting out and running down the street and mom joking she would just leave the dog bc I'm sure it would come back eventually. Oh well, day two of school not so good. But now I have another cleaner. Yes, I say another, bc this is the third one we have gone through in our marriage. It isn't the best, but hey it detaches and makes car cleaning better.

Well, there you have it, my long post. No, it wasn't always interesting and important, but it is our life and if I write it down, maybe I'll remember it and laugh later. Keep checking back, the excitement in our life isn't over. There are more adventures in our future. We will press on, ever forward, or sideways, or on crooked paths, but ever moving, and keeping a record of it all.
