Christmas cookies already!

Well we got into the Christmas spirit before Dec. 1st. The base was having a cookie drop off for single and over seas military personel. So we decided to have a Family Home Evening about service. Kandon read some stories and talked about why we need to do service, and then we made several dozen cookies and wrote letters and made snowflake cards. Unfortunately mom, left the cards at home as she rushed about. Oh well we can give them later to another or send them to family for Christmas. It was a good activity and the pumpkin spice cookies turned out pretty good, better with icing. The kids struggled with donating so many sugar cookies, but had plenty to eat. Nobody liked the oatmeal Chocolate chip but mom, but that was only bc it had oatmeal in it, not bc of my cooking, so they say. Well I'm sure there will be lots more baking this holiday season, which means lots more weight and more plans to work out. May this year end with lots of joy and blessings abounding.

Yummy, I think I will have to make more pumkin spice with icing. They look tempting. Certainly easy since they were Betty Crocker mix from the bags.
Tis the season for some Baking!
