Aloha

Ok so it is catch up time, but I have a good excuse this time, well maybe. We are no longer in paradise. We have moved back to the continental U.S. and are still struggling with the time change and weather. It was 50 degress when we got off the plane and for a few days after. No we were not crazy tourists from Hawaii with shorts on, we wore pants for the cold airplane and flip flops (slippers) for the security check points. I didn't however check the weather forcast for Dayton, seeing as it was May. So therefor we had to go buy Kilee and Kowen pants since they didn't own a pair. So now everyone has at least one pair to wear. It got warmer for a few days, but the rain, constant rain. Depressing. Where is my beautiful beach that I so underappreciated for 3 1/2 yrs, it is gone, gone, gone. OH well.

We have been busy looking at houses after houses after houses, and the kids are so done, "Just buy one they say." "But it isn't in the right school system, subdivision, ward we want. But it isn't freshly painted, or have a fence, or a big yard to put you in I say." Yes, we are being way too picky, like have there been animals, cause my dad, brother, great g-ma in-law, and niece are allergic and once in a blue moon might visit and we wouldn't want to alienate them bc we bought a house who had animals and we didn't replace carpets...etc. So it is looking like we are going to buy a house and wait the long 4 1/2 mths for it to be done, hopefully not taking longer. There is already a 6 wk wait included bc our street isn't even there. yada yada. Too many choices. Do we choose the not so big boring neighborhood with the better school and yr long drama club so I can put my drama queen in it or the ok school with a chorus and a once a yr play for her. The school with after hrs intermural sports for the boys or the beautiful overpriced smaller older house but in the awesomest neighborhood ever.

Anyways, enough crying on ith the pics you might be saying, so I am going to try and email pics and then post, so it might be edited in a few days. Be patient.

First is Karate-- Kilee and Kandon earned their blue belts in Kempo Karate before we moved. They are so glad to be done, yet wished they had more time to earn more belts. Mom is glad the checks are done being cashed and no more.

Next, is that my baby (4 yr old) has graduated Pre-school. Our wild child has been tamed (well at least for school). He was so cute in his graduation cap.

Well the dog did fine while Cliff took care of her far away from us so the kids wouldn't excite her. So, again I had the kids mostly on a flight but thankfully the first one we slept, somewhat. We are doing ok and the future is still uncertain, which is hard, but life goes on in a nice are, blessings lie among this less beautiful, rainbowless filled hidden paradise. We just have to unlock and find them. Wish us luck!

  1. I'm sorry you had to say Aloha to wonderful Hawaii. Everyday I wake up and think about how happy I am to live in Hawaii. It will be such a let down if we ever go live on the mainland again. Good luck and I can't wait to see your house...in several months.
